Abstract | Key Messages: 1. For children aged 8 to 12 years old, their parents still have an important influence on their obesity-related behaviour, ie physical activity and dietary habits. 2. Encouraging parents to be physically active and children to take part in outdoor play may help promote an active lifestyle and prevent obesity.3. A neighbourhood with better aesthetic characteristics and easy access to parks may help children maintain a healthy body weight. |
