Abstract | Bultmann’s Theology ofthe New Testament is instructive as a theological performance, which goes beyond redescription to theological explication. His reading of?aul illustrates his approach to theological in- terpretation, which is integral to the responsibility of theology to each new generation. Aithough we should now do theology with the NT in a very different form, Bultmann’s challenge remains: to go beyond mere repetition in order to render this text theologically fruitful, and commu- nicable as good news, in our contemporary context. |
