Abstract

While there is abundant literature on credit transfer and lifelong learning, much less is know about the provision of Web-based information and services to students as part of a general orientation or as part of e-learning. This paper reports on the use of the web by Australian Universities to support lifelong learning by providing access to information on recognition of prior learning (RPL) and credit transfer. The implications for tertiary educators are examined and recommendations are made to enable the promotion of lifelong learning through improved information provision online.
