Abstract | The article discusses a study of injuries suffered by athletes in the 2005 New Zealand semi-professional rugby league competition, the Bartercard Cup. It reveals the number of injuries that occurred during 136 matches, noting that the shoulder was the single most common injury site. Charts are presented which show injury statistics per month for rate, man hours, player appearances and per minutes played, as well as player position injury incidences. |
