Abstract | An introduction to the journal is presented in which the author discusses various reports published within the issue including one regarding sabermetrics approach in assembling a competitive baseball team, another by Jane Watson and Beth Chance that focuses on the appropriate content from probability and statistics for a school mathematics curriculum, and another article that discusses the use of mathematics to understand phenomena that involve uncertainty and risk. |
