Abstract | This paper outlines recent research findings concerning the sufficiency and appropriateness of students' academic motivation from an educational perspective, and discusses them within the context of the goal theory of student motivation. Then it makes some observations concerning the relationship between goal theory and a biblical view of motives and motivation. |
