Abstract

In 2011, Liaison Librarians from the Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Strathfield and Brisbane campus libraries set out to investigate the potential of iPads and their use in the teaching and learning environment. This paper addresses the benefits and future directions that have been implemented and will be investigated. Opportunities to conduct research into the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the iPad in the teaching and learning environment in higher education are outlined.
