Description | [Sculpture] Three vessels, hand-crafted floral oasis foam. The sculptures were made as part of a craft and palliative care workshop using a soft, biodegradable, malleable, non-toxic sculpting medium, to allow for different levels of dexterity. The dimensions of the vessels are (as pictured left to right): 21.5 x 23x 8 cm; 16 x 23 x 11 cm; and 46 x 11 x 8 cm. The workshops titled "Facing death creatively" were held at Shepperton Art Museum on the 30th of January 2019. They were then later exhibited at a range of locations in 2019 and 2020 including Shepparton Art Museum (Vic), Warrnambool Art Gallery (Vic), Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (Vic), The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House (ACT), Bega Valley Regional Gallery (NSW), Warwick Art Gallery (Qld) and Cairns Art Gallery (Qld). |
