Abstract | [Extract] This report draws on the Phase 1 findings of the NIE/OER Educational Research Funding Programme and MOE CORE 3 project titled 'Integrating Multiliteracies into the English Language Classroom'. It explicates how teachers have been using multimodal texts to develop multiliteracies, specifically multimodal literacy, in the primary and secondary school contexts in Singapore. Multimodal literacy refers to developing critical viewing and effective representing skills to support students' engagement with multimodal texts. |
