Abstract

Pedagogical content knowledge und fachdidaktisches Wissen werden in der Diskussion zum professionellen Wissen von Lehrkräften oftmals synonym verwendet. Dieser Beitrag hinterfragt diesen Gebrauch kritisch und stellt die entsprechenden Hintergrundannahmen und unterschiedlichen Traditionen gegenüber. Bei diesem Vergleich bezieht sich der Beitrag explizit auf die von Shulman vorgeschlagene kognitive Transformation von Fachwissen einer Lehrkraft in pädagogisch wirksame Darstellungsformen und auf die deutschsprachige Tradition der Elementarisierung von Fachinhalten. Ziel dieses Vergleichs ist es, die sprachliche Differenzierung dieser Begriffe in der Diskussion um das Professionswissen von Lehrkräften zu stärken.
