Abstract

Through templates and real-world examples, this step-by-step guide clearly illustrates what good and bad data look like in order to give students the confidence in how to assess and critique data quality, while showing them how to build an effective survey around their research questions. Survey research is also contextualised within the wider research process and broader research challenges. Similarly, through analysis of extant surveys and survey data from global contexts, common errors help highlight how to use secondary data well.
