Abstract	In this paper will give an overview about the available material relation to the life of Severus of Antioch in both Syriac and Copto/Arabic/Ethiopian tradition. It will discuss the place of education of Severus according to the different biographies. We will study also Gregory of Nazianzus in the Coptic tradition and the date of his commemoration according to the different traditions. This point will lead us to compare the biography of Severus of Antioch according to Athanasius (Copto/Arabic/Ethiopian tradition) with the life of Gregory of Nazianzus. We will point the role and the influence of Gregory of Nazianzus on Sevems of Antioch. We conclude that the life of Sevems attributed to Athanasius was influenced by the life of Gregory of Nazianzus as Gregory himself had influence over Sevems of Antioch.
