Abstract

[Extract] Feminist theorists have made valuable efforts to open up new lines of inquiry into the disadvantage suffered by women in philosophy in virtue of their sex, race, class, dis/ability, and other markers of social identity. Within this scholarship there is growing recognition that the issue requires new modes of intervention that go deeper than commitments to equal opportunity and diversity training. This recognition has intensified in light of mounting evidence that mainstream reforms have had mixed success, and have been slow on the whole to effect meaningful change.
