Abstract
This study builds on the [http://www.acu.edu.au/621059] Children’s Safety Study and explored the experiences of young people and their safety in residential care. It aimed to understand what young people believe institutions are doing to identify, prevent and respond to sexual abuse and problematic sexual behaviours among young people. The study included interviews with young people, and a workshop with young people and key stakeholders to develop a youth-centred response to sexual abuse.
