Abstract
In this article, the authors discuss the Victorian Government's Birth to Level 10 Numeracy Guide, (APMC 25(4) 2020 Muir et al. The Birth to Level 10 Numeracy Guide: An overview). The Birth to Level 10 Numeracy Guide includes high-quality, interactive online resources for educators aligned to the Victorian Curriculum frameworks (VEYLDF and Victorian Curriculum) and examples of numeracy across the curriculum. In considering the Numeracy Guide's use nationally, it is important to note that the Victoria Curriculum: Mathematics, aligns almost word for word with the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics (ACARA, 2018). Organised in six sections (Figure 1), the Numeracy Guide provides a comprehensive overview and understanding of numeracy development from Birth to Level 10. The Numeracy Guide was designed for school leadership teams, teachers, early childhood practitioners, and families.
