Abstract
The Jagiellon dynasty left a lasting impact on the diverse peoples united under their rule. The Jagiellon lordship offers an opportunity to conceptualise their dominion as Jagiellon Europe in broad political, economic and social terms. It is important to highlight the history of the peoples of Jagiellon Europe because the geographical dominion of the dynasty transcended the boundaries that separated its subjects, much as the studies of Jagiellon heritage go beyond national scholarship or historiographical traditions. The Jagiellons dominated the east of Latin Christendom and, as Rimvydas Petrauskas reminds us, subordinated a significant portion of the Orthodox world to their rule.
