Abstract
The article explores the specific reasons on the terms of the mass antiphons of the Roman Missal. It mentions the complexities on the translation of antiphons compared to other genre of liturgical texts. The importance to maintain the ancient interpretive connections between the Scripture, the Roman rite and the liturgical celebration in translating the antiphons are also emphasized.
