Abstract
Based on the question of whether risk perception can lead to changes in health behavior, psychological constructs and mechanisms are presented. It describes a theoretical approach from which changes in health behavior can be explained and predicted. In addition, this approach provides guidance for the design of workplace health promotion activities.
