Abstract
[Extract] The theme of the next annual Australian Historical Association (AHA) conference this year is ‘Urgent Histories’. Hosted by Deakin University in Geelong between 29 June and 2 July, the ‘Urgent Histories’ conference considers the place of history in current political discourses and invites historians to focus on the uses of the past in contemporary public debates, disputes and narratives.
