Abstract
[Extract] In a significant number of animated movie adaptations, the language is identical to, or only minimally different from, the book version and the animated characters are dynamic versions of the original static images. Yet it seems very clear that the two versions afford significant differences in interpretation. Nevertheless, relatively little attention has been given to researching the nature of the interpretive relationships between the different modes of representation of the same story.
