Abstract
It might seem strange today that a group of early Christians would depict the creator as a lion-faced serpent, a miscarriage expelled from the divine world, a rapist and enemy of the spiritual race – but such is the depiction of several Christian thinkers toward the midpoint of the second century. These thinkers were part of a larger Christian movement that called itself, among other names, “the Seed (that is, offspring) of Seth.”
