Abstract
[Excerpt] "The chapters in this volume emanate from the Centre for Early Christian Studies at Australian Catholic University which has as its remit the study of literature from the first seven centuries of the Common Era. The following ten chapters, which aim to showcase the research of the Centre, deal with crisis management literature from 50 to 590 CE, that is, with examples of literature that respond to various crises: past, present, ongoing, looming, real and perceived."
