Abstract
This paper shows that Canadian Financial Preparation for Retirement (FPR) be-haviour is linked with formal education levels and is more advanced as Canadi-ans age and get closer to their planned retirement date. However, it is not associ-ated with income or gender. Messages encouraging earlier FPR behaviour would have social utility.
