Abstract

This chapter examines the physical qualities of experts, non-experts and novices. Specifically it looks at the relationship between physical qualiries and skill, playing performance, and match activity profiles. Lastly, it provides a conceptual model of game-specific training, incorporating both conditioning and skill training, as a stimulus to promote transfer of physical fitness to competitive performance.
