Episode synopsis:

And Albert Lin embarks on a perilous mission of discovery in Mexico, diving deep beneath the surface of the Mayan underworld.

Deep within the remote jungles of Guatemala, National Geographic Explorer, Albert Lin, is uncovering long lost secrets of one of the Maya. Descending into the earth and navigating high above the trees is bringing startling new discoveries to light. Thousands of ancient ruins, cave systems and precious relics are being revealed for the first time with the help of new technology. Aerial LiDAR mapping is writing a new narrative about this ancient civilization. LiDAR can see through dense jungle like x-ray vision to reveal a lost world.
