Abstract

This chapter will outline the position of a practitioner/researcher within the context of EFL teaching and learning from a cultural-historical and activity theory (CHAT) perspective. The selection of this theoretical perspective is based on the growing importance of CHAT in the field of education in general and EFL in particular.
