Abstract

Deze bijdrage neemt als uitgangspunt de ‘Bijbelmoeheid’ die tegenwoordig wordt waargenomen in het godsdienstonderwijs en catechese aan leerlingen en/of jongeren. Aan de hand van twee voorbeelden van ‘ongeloofwaardige’ passages uit de Bijbel wordt aangetoond hoe hun onmogelijkheid zelf de hermeneutische sleutel bevat om hun diepere betekenis te onthullen. De passages zijn bewust gekozen uit het Oude en Nieuwe Testament om aan te duiden dat de wijze waarop volwassenen/leerkrachten de Bijbel benaderen een beslissende impact heeft op hoe deze eeuwenoude teksten de jongeren/leerlingen van vandaag nog op een geloofwaardige manier kunnen aanspreken. Tot slot wordt nagegaan hoe het godsdienstonderwijs vanuit een intergenerationeel perspectief zou kunnen omgaan met ongeloofwaardige verhalen uit de Bijbel.
