Abstract	[Extract] The monastery of the Virgin Mary Bayad is a well-known monastery. It was mentioned by Maqrizi as a church of Saint Antony to the south of Itfih. The minister of the church, priest Gad Allah, is mentioned also in the procession of the patriarch John XVI during his visit in Jerusalem. However the church of the monastery was rebuilt in 1963. Since this date this church became a pilgrimage centre. The edition of this manuscript will help to reconstruct the ancient church of the monastery.
