Abstract | The article examines focus group data obtained from five book clubs based in Australia. The findings from the focus groups have indicated different reading positions in relation to the intellectual and emotional effect of reading and discussing the book "The Secret River" by Kate Grenville, which was published when Reconciliation was a government policy. |
