Abstract | Dr. Cruz argues that even the weak and vulnerable have powerful weapons of resistance in such stories, songs, dance and jokes. In this way, even those with little power can name injustice, express dissent, and point to solutions for a more just society. Dr. Cruz speaks out of and to the experience of Asian and African American women, and reflects on the implications for missionary engagement. The lecture was delivered on October 6, 2008. |
