Abstract | [Extract] In this chapter different techniques (indices and survey scales) to measure different aspects of the sustainable and unsustainable effects of HRM practices are explored. The measures of unsustainable impacts of organisational practices on stakeholders will trigger organisational-level interventions to reduce the unsustainable impacts in order to achieve the synthesis effects of sustainable HRM (Mariappanadar, 2014; Mariappanadar & Kramar, 2014). That is, organisations, while maximising organisational p erformance, must also reduce the simultaneous harm of work on the stakeholders (i.e. employees, their families) and negative environmental impacts to accomplish corporate sustainability. |
